The new season is out! we're having a really good time with it so far, they're doing something REALLY interesting and fresh with some of the production stuff. They're starting the season with a 10 episode world-building game, which is completely on-brand, but the intros seem to be slowly building a poem line-by-line? Which is New and really cool. Jack, one of the players and their composer, also seems to be taking a new approach to the music. The intro song (at least for this prelude) is like. a 3 second long startup jingle, which I love. They also just played like. a little cooking theme in the episode?? The cast seems to Really be playing toys here and I'm super enthralled already on episode 2!

Now would be a great time to start listening if it's something you haven't done already!

The worldbuilding prelude has concluded after some technical issues and next week is character creation! I liked where the prelude went, I'm really into the world they've built here. It feels like they've turned the whimsy levels all the way up for this season and I'm really digging it. My favorite so far has been the water-themed megadungeon and the part of the main city that has been quarantined. And the Gull Knights. And Flegg.

Now would be a great time to either catch up or start listening with the next episode! This season is all-new stuff so you don't need any prior knowledge to understand what's happening.

Perpetua character episode dropped last night! I am SO excited about these characters, and this system seems as though it's going to have actual like. tactical combat in it? They're out here worried about elemental weaknesses and whatnot. I really enjoyed the short arc they did of Lancer, so I'm hoping this will have similar vibes. There's more than one megadungeon in this setting explicitly and dude I cannot WAIT for them to do some fucking delving. Overall really excited to see where this one goes.
